I have been designing private gardens since 2005. I live and work in Marbella on the Costa del Sol and undertake projects both in Spain and internationally.

Three things matter equally to me in every project: how the garden looks, how it will be used and how it will function technically five or ten years from now.

I begin every project with a personal site visit. I need to see the land, understand the light and levels, listen to the client and understand how they intend to use the space.

For me, a good garden is not simply decoration around a house. It is a space that is genuinely used — in the morning and evening, with family and guests, or simply as a place to spend time outdoors.

How your garden on the Costa del Sol is created — three stages

Site visit and analysis

I visit the property personally and study its levels, orientation, architecture and the different ways in which the outdoor space will be used.

Concept and visualisation

I develop the concept through detailed visualisations, planting layouts and material selections.

Implementation and supervision

I coordinate the construction teams, supervise the quality of planting and oversee the installation of irrigation and lighting systems. I remain involved until the project is completed and the garden has received its final adjustments.

I design gardens with the next ten years in mind

Plants grow, mature and transform a space, and a garden needs to be designed for that evolution from the very beginning. I consider what the garden will look like in five or ten years: which trees will provide shade, how privacy hedging will develop and how flowering will change throughout the seasons.
That is why I do not design only for the day a garden is completed. I design for how it will mature over time.
